HOMO DIGITALIS IN THE DATASPHERE: NETWORK ARCHITECTURE, LIE MACHINES AND DISINFORMATIONAL VIOLENCE

Abstract

This article aims to investigate how the digital environment is structured and fed it back, especially the datasphere, and how the architecture of networks is formed, as well as the way of life and its consequences for homo digitalis, given the need to survive to the threats of flawed information, which can lead you to make wrong decisions in the most diverse areas of your life. The methodology used is a bibliographic review, in a critical-reflexive line, to analyze theories and approaches about the datasphere, the architecture of networks and how the so-called homo digitalis experiences the threats of echo cameras, bubble filters, lie machines and informational violence. Data obtained from secondary sources, such as reports and empirical articles, are also analyzed. It is concluded that the human being is affected by waves of (dis)information, whose quantity and quality are determined according to the business standards of the large technology companies, without commitment to knowledge and factual truth. In the face of disinformational violence, new challenges arise for scientific, academic, professional and state institutions to protect citizens, as virtual disinformation affects important decisions about their real life.
