Abstract
Marxism-Leninism is the ideological foundation for the Communist Party of Vietnam to apply and develop the theory of socialism and the path to socialism in Vietnam. The great achievements of historical significance that the Party and the people of Vietnam have achieved over the past 36 years of innovation have shown the correct and creative application of the Party; at the same time, it also contributes to supplementing and creatively developing Marxism-Leninism in new conditions. With continuous improvement in practice, the theoretical thinking of the Communist Party of Vietnam has been enhanced, and the awareness of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh’s ideology has become more correct, complete, and profound to socialism. The application and development of the theory of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh’s ideology are the fundamental cause of the great victory in the two resistance wars and the great achievements in the 36 years of innovation and construction. and develop the country. On the basis of scientific arguments, logical interpretation as well as studying documents of Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, and documents of the Communist Party of Vietnam, this study focuses on analyzing why the Communist Party of Vietnam has chosen Marxism-Leninism, Marxism-Leninism in today’s day and age, and the creative application of Vietnam in the period of national innovation.
