Social structure and social stratification are significant issues in any society. This article proposes to tackle the problems regarding social structure change and social stratification and how to apply Ho Chi Minh’s thoughts in addressing the same. The findings present a summary and analysis of Ho Chi Minh’s thoughts on democracy and how they can be applied as a solution to the problem of social structural change. The article uses a library-based approach for data collection. Journal articles, books, and other publications from reputable sources were used for the study. The study showed that social stratification exists in all societies. It also showed that Ho Chi Minh advocates for societal equality, terming it as ‘sacred.’ He also stresses the importance of democracy in society to advance equality. The article has established that social inequality is unavoidable in the development process. However, it should not be taken as the norm, and the Communist Party of Vietnam is working towards attaining societal equity.
