Abstract

The illusion, the kingdom, the redemption. Dichotomous and synodal aspects on the concepts of evil and humility in the thought of Franco Cassano Political evil and history, absence of good and emptiness of a transcendent foundation of man, collective hypnotic spell, all dimensions in which contemporary thought has been able to glimpse the effective struggle between hope and progressive expectations of well-being which, the latter, have radically removed from man the certainty of life not only as a mere existence and historical-political outcome. The work of Franco Cassano, sociologist of cultural processes, The humility of evil, is taken up in these pages in a critique of knowledge that does not relativize the criterion of truth to what appears evident and that totalitarian empires in various phases have annihilated, that is, the presence of man, but also becomes an understanding of a moment of reflection on the existence of God.
