Private registration data, such as credentials and addresses used only for editorial correspondence, serve account management, submissions, peer review and journal services. They are not published as article metadata or used for purposes unrelated to those services.
Author names, affiliations, ORCID identifiers and other information provided for publication form part of the article’s public metadata and may be made available to readers and indexing databases. Professional contact addresses provided for publication must be distinguished from addresses used only for registration.
Cookies are distinct from links and public metadata: they are not the mechanism for disseminating ORCID identifiers, affiliations or references.
