Abstract
During the late 19th century and early 20th century, the French colonialists invaded and turned Vietnam into a colonial, semi-feudal society. Vietnamese feudalism and Confucian ideology are increasingly powerless against the demands of the fight against foreign aggression for national independence. Corresponding to the new circumstances, the revolutionary task of national liberation also has a different nature than before. In that context, a part of progressive Confucianism, including Phan Boi Chau (1867-1940) and Phan Chau Trinh (1872-1926) explored methods of saving the country and people according to different trends. . Phan Boi Chau and Phan Chau Trinh's views on democracy on democracy show many progressive and innovative points, have far-reaching effects on socio-economic life, and are one of the typical views for a new era. A tumultuous period in Vietnam's history at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. From the approach to philosophy, political philosophy, the history of philosophy, through the research and analysis of historical documents and other related documents, this article focuses on researching the basic content of the views and opinions. on democracy by Phan Boi Chau and Phan Chau Trinh.
