Based on the analysis of scientific works, the article reveals theoretical problems in the field of legal regulation of atypical forms of employment. The analysis of the norms of the current legislation, the norms of which are aimed at regulating atypical forms of employment, is carried out, which made it possible to identify the existing problems in the legal regulation of atypical forms of employment. It is concluded that today, despite the important steps taken by the legislator to improve the current labor legislation in terms of regulating atypical forms of employment, there are still a number of gaps and other shortcomings in this area, without elimination of which it is impossible to talk about the proper level of social security of employees who realize their abilities and abilities to work in the specified forms. The author's vision is offered regarding promising directions for improving labor legislation, the norms of which are aimed at regulating atypical forms of employment.
