Since 2012, it is linked to the Postgraduate Program in Law (PPGD) of the Catholic University of Petrópolis. </p> <p>From 2009 to 2022, it published its annual issues semiannually. From 2023 on, it will publish quarterly issues.</p> <div>According to the official result of CAPES's Qualis Periodicals 2017-2020, Lex Humana received a B1 grade, achieving its best grade since its inception in 2009.</div> <p>Lex Humana is indexed in several international databases. See the complete list <a href="https://seer.ucp.br/seer/index.php/LexHumana/indexation" target="_blank" rel="noopener">on the journal indexation page.</a></p>https://seer.ucp.br/seer/index.php/LexHumana/announcement/view/33Lex Humana – Qualis CAPES Classification and Editorial Trajectory2026-01-13T11:58:39+00:00Lex Humana (ISSN 2175-0947)<p>Dear Readers, Authors, Reviewers, Editorial Board Members, and Friends of <em>Lex Humana</em>,</p> <p>We are pleased to share with our entire academic community an important milestone in the editorial history of <em>Lex Humana</em>, the Law Journal of the Catholic University of Petrópolis (UCP).</p> <p>According to the official results of the Qualis Periódicos evaluation by CAPES for the 2021–2024 quadrennium, <em>Lex Humana</em> (ISSN 2175-0947) has achieved the A3 classification, reaffirming its place among journals of excellence and demonstrating the continuous maturation and qualification of its editorial mission in the field of Law.</p> <p>We take this opportunity to make a just and grateful remembrance of the journal’s trajectory throughout the different evaluation cycles:</p> <ul> <li> <p>2010–2012: <em>Lex Humana</em> was classified as C in Law and B5 in the Interdisciplinary area, a foundational period marked by initial consolidation and the establishment of its editorial project.</p> </li> <li> <p>2013–2016: the journal maintained the C classification in Law, while advancing to B2 in the Interdisciplinary area, signaling an important phase of growth and academic recognition.</p> </li> <li> <p>2017–2020: with the adoption of the Unified Qualis system, <em>Lex Humana</em> reached the B1 level in both Law and the Interdisciplinary area, reflecting the qualification of its editorial processes and scholarly output.</p> </li> <li> <p>2021–2024: with great satisfaction, we now celebrate the A3 classification, which represents continuity, consistency, and a significant qualitative advancement of the journal.</p> </li> </ul> <p>This achievement is the result of the dedicated work of our editors, editorial board members, reviewers, authors, and readers, whose commitment to academic rigor, ethical standards, and critical dialogue sustains <em>Lex Humana</em>.</p> <p>We also express our sincere gratitude for the institutional support of the Catholic University of Petrópolis (UCP), especially to its Rector, Fr.
